It’s fair to say that we have a bit of a trainer fetish with the amount of trainers we currently have and have owned. As such we are perfectly placed to tell what we think are currently the most comfortable trainers around.

We personally like to actually wear and use our kicks rather than keeping them clean and fresh to look good with casual wear. They also need to be able to perform, it’s no good having trainers that you can wear all day but when you start to excel and push yourself in a workout they come up short.

Typically we find our most comfortable shoes almost feel like socks such as the Adidas Ultra Boost, Nike Presto and Nike Free run, however you have to be careful with this type of shoe as some lack support and you can feel your feet sliding out side ways over the sole. So we are looking for a balance of support and comfort.

Here’s our top 4 trainers you will look bad ass in and be able to workout in too. (In no particular order)

Almost everyone had a pair of these 16 years ago, yes that’s right these bad boys were designed in 2000! It’s pretty cool to think that you can design and create a shoe and still have it at the top 16 years later! Wether these have just been re-issued or less pairs were being made in the last 10 years we don’t know, but we’re glad they are back. Nike says benefits come from the Dynamic mesh upper that stretches with your foot. We are just glad that they have added the Moulded midfoot cage that offers lightweight support, this stops your foot slipping from side to side over the sole but still allows you to keep that light and breathable feel. As you can imagine without this your chances of turning an ankle when playing sport or working out would greatly increase. It is however not as supportive as the ultra boost and the high heel wedge does make it more possible to turn your ankle.

Currently I own a pair of these in all black and all white as I love them so much, they also hold some nostalgia with me.
Prices are around £95, I actually go discount from a high street store in Brighton because I wanted two pairs.

Adidas Ultra Boost http://www.adidas.co.uk/ultra-boost-shoes/AQ4005.html

Where to start with the Ultra Boost you guys probably know that both Leon and myself adore these trainers and while they are a bit more expensive than the Presto at £130 they also have a much sturdier feel, they offer more support & stability. They also hug your feet while still being light weight and breathable, for working out these are my go to trainers as the soles are super soft too which makes jumping, running and other impact movements kinder on the joints.

Weighing just 304g for a UK size 8 they are also feather weight, as well they hug your heels without being abrasive and causing blisters this means your feet wont slip even when you’re running in the soft stuff.

At £130 they are more expensive than most but they are worth every penny in our eyes, also if you manage to get a white pair then you are lucky as they notoriously hard to get hold of before they sell out.

Under Armour SpeedForm http://rstyle.me/n/bpqtg5b6iw7

These UnderArmour running shoes surprised us! Not previously known by us for being creators running trainers but more compression tops and making Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson look even more stacked than he already is!

However these trainers did surprise us and they are great! The are soft and supportive with plenty of bounce while still being breathable and light with weighing just 225g

What I particularly like about these is the arch reinforcement which helps my foot problem no end and there is also room to add my orthotics in easily.

At £100 they sit in the middle of our Top 5 price range.

Nike Free Run 3.0 http://rstyle.me/n/bpqtweb6iw7

Regardless of the Nike free run model you pick you know what you are getting, with the free runs being Nike’s cross between barefoot running and wearing your normal sporting shoe with more of an offset and heel lift.

On the Nike website Nike.com I discovered that the Nike team spent eight years studying the biomechanics of runners’ feet in motion. From this they gained an understanding of the foot’s natural landing angle, pressure and toe position, allowing Nike designers to build an unconventional and flexible running shoe from the inside out.

At £90 they are one of our cheapest pairs in our this list, we have had more pairs of free run’s than any other training shoe and that’s no coincidence.

So there you have it, our favourite trainers to workout in while still looking awesome.
